LAte-stage College planning for Juniors
This is a great-value option that helps families save time and money. You can begin as early as the summer before the Junior year of high school or as late as the spring of their Junior year. We will be with you until your child steps foot into their dorm room.
Late Stage Planning provides you one-to-one access to us. It includes a combination of services related to both Admissions and Financial Aid.
Arguably the best gift you can give your child is a sense of direction with their life. Therefore this late-stage college planning for Juniors does include a comprehensive aptitude assessment.
However, Late Stage Planning is not the same as the one-on-one mentoring program. Our time is mostly spent on the immediate tasks at hand, which include helping your child find the right schools for them (in terms of academics, overall costs, and other social and emotional criteria), create a strategic admissions strategy customized for their situation, and help the parents pay less than their friends and neighbors.
Our Late Stage Planning solution has proven effective for most families. Families who engage us with their rising Junior still have 2-3x better chance of getting admitted into their favorite schools than the published average acceptance rate. Families tend to save between $50,000 - $75,000 off the total cost of college as well. But again, there are no guarantees.
This solution helps the student find the best-fit colleges as well as crafting an admissions strategy. It provides an online self-paced SAT/ACT test prep (if needed), an online financial literacy course, college app essay review, financial aid (free money) optimization including appeals, scholarship assistance, net cost calculations, as well as review your options on how to best pay the net cost.
Your family should consider this investment if:
- You feel like there is a lot at stake and you cannot afford to get it wrong.
- You're overwhelmed and too busy to DIY this alone.
- You're a two-household family (divorced or separated).
- You're a business owner.
- You're a homeowner.
- You do not think you'll qualify for Need-Based Aid, but you don't want to pay up to $90,000 a year for college.
- Lastly, and most importantly -- you want to enjoy this time with your child instead of stressing/arguing over college.
If you are interested in this Late-Stage program, let's schedule a meeting to make sure this is the right solution for you. We limit the participation in this program to only 20 new juniors each year so we also need to make sure we have room.
"I don’t even know where to begin. JP is one of those people that makes you wish that all of your other business relationships could be like the one you have with JP. Obviously you want to work with someone who really knows what they’re doing and some. With JP you’re not only getting decades of experience and knowledge you’re working with a professional who is invested in your child’s pursuit and not charging you for every extra minute. As a result of JP’s guidance, my son was able to attend his first choice school. This was a very daunting experience for me and having JP’s insight and hand holding made this experience a true joy. JP is not like most run-of-the mill businesspeople. JP gets the job done because he cares and is genuinely passionate about his work. My son is a freshman in college and questions still come up and JP has continued to support us. You’d be lucky to work with him, he’s the best kept secret."
