à la carte services
My catch-all solution is where you purchase Blocks of Time for any other à la carte service not previously mentioned. This option is useful for families who don't want comprehensive help, meaning you only want help with the admissions piece or you only want help with the financial piece. This also works well for those who have purchased the online Comprehensive College Plan but decided some aspect of planning would simply take too much time or is too complex.
Essentially you can use this time for just about anything, such as 1) meeting one-on-one for mentoring, 2) answer questions via email or chat, 3) help research schools, 4) help with the financial aid forms, or 5) generally whatever else we normally would do for a student.
Purchasing blocks of time for our direct involvement would be at the rate of:
up to 1 hour = $285
up to 3 hours = $810 (additional time can be added at the rate of $270/hour)
up to 5 hours = $1,275 (additional time can be added at the rate of $255/hour)
*there are no refunds for un-used time
If you are interested in hiring me on an hourly basis, let's meet first to discuss how I can best help you and determine how much time you need.
"Thank you so much for all of your help today! I feel so much different after talking with you-- this process has all been so anxiety provoking, but after today I feel really good about the plan. It is also an amazing feeling to have the CSS profile finished 😀.
I will get all of my paperwork in order for appeals, and I will be back in touch as soon as we get some offers from schools!

"We reached out to JP about our son, who is in his Freshman year in College. We had already submitted our FAFSA for his Sophomore year. We asked for help in finding scholarships and he showed us the two best FREE online resources for scholarships. On top of that, he took a few extra minutes to review our FAFSA and he showed us where we mistakenly reported assets that we did not need to disclose. The FAFSA can be tricky with the way they ask questions. JP helped clear up the confusion. Within minutes he helped us lower our EFC by nearly $50,000."

"Thank you for your time and expertise today. Even though the subject is a stressful one, it was a pleasure speaking with you. Both Mark and I found the session very informative. I wish I had spoken with you before the FAFSA magically submitted itself, but such is life. I'll fix that when it becomes available. Thank you again for your guidance and we'll be in touch when the time comes for an appeal"
